Seeing and photographing VCTMS at the Brooklyn Monarch was an unforgettable experience, capturing a set that was as emotionally gripping as it was sonically devastating. The band delivered an incredible performance, blending crushing heaviness with raw vulnerability that hit even harder live. At one point, while filming on my 360 camera, the vocalist grabbed it mid-set and started throwing punches toward the lens—an unexpected moment that perfectly matched the chaos and intensity of the night. The bassist jumped in front of the camera with just as much energy, making for one of the most immersive and interactive shooting experiences I’ve had. With deeply emotional lyrics layered over punishing instrumentals, VCTMS created a set that was not only powerful to witness, but impossible to forget.
