Upon A Burning Body

Photographing Upon a Burning Body was a full-throttle experience drenched in pride, power, and pure metal energy. Their stage presence was absolutely massive, amplified by killer lighting and smoke effects that wrapped the crowd in an intense, immersive atmosphere. Plastering the venue in light and fog, they created a visual onslaught that hit just as hard as their sound. One of the sickest moments was when they waved a Texas flag emblazoned with their logo, flexing their Lone Star pride like true metal warriors. I’ve known these guys personally for years, and they’re the reason I even picked up a camera—what started as a casual conversation at a show became the fire that sparked my path into concert photography. I owe them everything for that, and seeing them live always feels like a full-circle moment. Their crushing riffs and feral vocals had the crowd going absolutely berserk, bodies flying and heads banging from start to finish. Upon a Burning Body doesn’t just put on a show—they ignite a movement, and I’ll ride with them every damn time.
