Better Lovers

Photographing and experiencing Better Lovers live at the Williams Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey was a total sensory overload in the best way possible. Their set was a nonstop barrage of chaos and intensity, amplified by an insane light show that kept the crowd—and the lens—on edge, never knowing what would come next. Guitarist Will Putney tore across the stage with relentless energy, shredding through brutal, hard-hitting riffs while barely staying on the ground. Frontman Greg Puciato was an absolute force of nature, screaming with unmatched fury, handing the mic to the crowd for gang vocals, and even launching himself into the audience in true hardcore fashion. The band’s connection with the crowd was raw and electric, like a powder keg ready to blow at any moment. Jordan Buckley, formerly of Every Time I Die, delivered his signature chaotic guitar work while constantly hyping up the pit and fueling the fire onstage. Every second of their performance felt like a high-voltage punch to the chest—unpredictable, aggressive, and unforgettable. It was pure, unfiltered modern hardcore at its most alive and unhinged.
